on their way out | nappanee photographer

this year was crazy hard on the gardens.
i suppose it didn't help that i didn't water the flowers once this year.

bad gardener... baaaad.

i like to think that by planting all perennials, the garden's on auto-pilot.

you throw a kid who's in trouble out there once in awhile to pull the weeds, and let those babies go.

that's my idea of flower gardening.... lazy style

they're on their way out now but these were some of my favorites...

love me a little flower bokeh!
mmmmm.....

so long, my pretties

friday favorite | nappanee portrait photographer

this is my pick today because...

  • these pretty little roses...they are like happiness wrapped up in a very small package
  • i think i could grow to love macro
  • i love to play with textures, i'm always looking for something new. this one was a freebie from kaleidoscope through mcp actions. you may still be able to download this if you follow the mcp link

*this image was shot at f2.8, 1/500, iso 200 with a 50mm 1.4 lens.

friday favorite : nappanee photographer

this is my pick today because:
  • it's something different, i don't usually spend a lot of time photographing anything other than people & i don't have a macro lens (which is what i would use if i was purposefully going to photograph things like flowers and bugs & things like that)
  • i know it's a "no-no" to photograph flowers in full sun, but we were walking through these gardens & i was taking photos of the little boy & caught this just because it was so pretty...i wasn't looking for photographic perfection...☺
  • i love this texture!

*this image was shot @ f5.6, 1/400, iso 100 at 135mm with a 18-135mm 3.5-5.6 lens
